Oxyhelp tube

Oxyhelp is a romanian start-up that produces pressurised tubes, for customers to get in and get oxygenated. This is a process that many athletes are committed to, giving them many benefits. Also for respiratory problems or blood circulation problems is recomanded to undergo this process of oxygenation.

I worked with the team at Oxyhelp in developing the 3d model of a few modular capsules, having few working prototypes already built. For the big capsule we had to build modules that can combine together, as the client wishes.

Miami dining chair

Being such a versatile chair, Miami can be easly placed either in home environment, or in the work place.

For this chair I have worked on creating the 3d version of the foam, as well as developing the rotating mechanism for the wooden legs ( as shown in the pictures on the left).

For the rotating system I had worked with my engineer colleagues at Top Design, from whom I have learned many things that Design Collage could not teach me.

Glx reclainer

This model is made by Gealux since before I worked for them, but every now and then I had to make new designs for the old models.

Working in Models department, I had to make sure the design is working with the systems used, as well as work with itself (the line of the back needs to be aligned with the arms and the seat and to complement each other).

For this chair, I went from design sketches for the new arm, to 2d sketches, to 3d and later on cutting the wood, making the holes for the final fitting, giving the arm final touches around the edges and putting the chair together. I was always working with the team in the department to get the chair in line, as I was mostly working with metal, wood and the assembling of the chairs we build. On top of that we needed foam and leather cover for every part of the chair.

Trones reclainer

This model is a collaboration between Gealux and Studioschrofer (Frans Schrofer and his team) for the design. A fresh and modern looking reclainer chair that is so much slimmer than most of the west Europe chairs.

For the mechanism we collaborated with Matthias Fischer, a great designer and a great engineer. I had the pleasure to gaze into his mind, and work with him in designing another Trones chair.

For Trones collection which hosts about 30 chairs, I had to design and oversee the seat (from metal frame to wooden sides) and adapting it for the ingenious mechanism that uses one's own weight to pull out the extension from underneath. Also I had to make sure the arms can be properly mounted onto the seat.

Venetie dining chair

Taking it's inspiration from the beautifull proportions of the city of Venice, Venetie is a "chic" chair that you would love to have in your linving room.

This design is also made by Studioschrofer.

I made the steel frame for this chair, starting with the back insert, then seat frame and putting them together for a clean and easy reclining. For the dining chairs the chairs recline only 10°-15° for better fitting of one's back or for a little break from sitting up-right. Usually for dining chairs we fit different legtypes on every one of them, although we design them with a specific look in mind. So for Venetie I had to make sure we can adapt the chair and the legs mounting points which can be used for both steel strip and the rotating steel legs.

WJ - WheelJet

Wj is a design project from the 3rd year in Collage. The project purpose was to design an object used for leisure activity, the target being disabled people.

I thought about making a sport that had not reached the people in wheelchair, so i came up with WJ.           Wheel Jet is a skijet that can be used by people in wheelchairs. It has a platform that comes out of the tail and even rotates 30° upwards for geting on the jet from a dock, and 30° downwords for geting in from the seasore. It has also two locking mechanisms in each side, to keep the wheelchair in place during the ride.

Leaf swing

-cradle to cradle-

This is also a project from collage. In 4th year, we had to adopt a cradle-to-cradle design for an outdoor item.

As the name suggest, the Leaf swing is inspired by non euclidean shapes found in nature. It posesses 2 lives. When the swing breaks, 4 of it's components become part of a new item, a basketball basket and the rest of them will be recycled.

The majority of the components are made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is a fully and infinitely recyclable plastic material. More than that it is stronger than usual plastic, and more resistent in high moisture environment, insecticide, or usual garden chemicals. The other elements are made of extruded stainless steel bars.
